Summerhills Charitable Trust
Summerhill Charitable Trust is a privately owned, not-for-profit organisation located in the Pāpāmoa Hills, New Zealand. Established in 2012 by David and Cloie Blackley, who gifted 126 hectares of their farm to the people of New Zealand, the trust aims to preserve green space for future generations by providing opportunities for recreation and education within a working farm and forestry environment. The property features scenic walking and mountain biking trails that traverse areas of pasture, exotic and native forests, and offer access to the adjoining Pāpāmoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park, known for its historic Māori Pā sites and panoramic coastal views. Additionally, the trust is developing the Summerhill Community Hub, a gathering space for educational and recreational events, with completion scheduled for 2025.
